Our Story
After working with refugee and immigrant populations from Africa for many years and seeing various challenges they face due to linguistic and cultural barriers, Manna Teclemariam devoted her time and founded ACHI. The main vision of ACHI is to fill in the language and social gaps for those underprivileged by providing appropriate services in the field of public health and other critical life day-to-day challenges. ACHI also envisions a significant role such as providing resources between small communities and the community at large.
Mission
ACHI's is to create social, cultural and physical environment that promotes health and eliminate health disparities. ACHI’s primarily goal is to address unmet social, emotional and physical health needs of vulnerable African Immigrants and Refugee communities
Vision
ACHI embodies a philosophy of community-building across cultures to build both individual and group identity. By defining “health” in a holistic manner, ACHI strives to address issues of community health as well as physical and mental health.
